WHAT AM I WORTH?

Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions?

1. Why did God create man and especially me?
2. What is my purpose?
3. Do I have any value, or purpose or am I just here; What am I worth?

These are a few of the questions we will answer together over the next 8 weeks in our Bible study. 

Why did God create man and why are we here?

(Gen. 5:21-24, Gen 6:9)

Gen. 1:26-28, 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them

What do these Scriptures tell you about the reason for your creation?

Let’s discuss what we see in these Scriptures.

According to these scriptures you were: made in God’s image; made to have dominion over the earth, subdue it , and everything on it; to be fruitful and multiply, walk with God in fellowship, and to do good works which God has prepared for you.

You have a purpose and a value to God. First, we will look at how precious and valuable you are to God.

YOU ARE GOD’S TREASURE

What does God think of you? 

(Gen 1:26; Deut. 7:6; Psalm 8:4; Psalm 139:14; Psalm 139:17-18; Matt. 10:29)

How do you treat something that is precious or is a treasure to you?

As God’s treasure, how does God look at you, and how can God’s perception of you help you today?

Why do people seek after treasure?

So why does God seek after you? (Eze. 34:11-16; Luke 19:10) 

As God’s treasure you have incredible value to Him.
